Yury + Irina

Our Story

It's almost a cliche, honestly...

Girl meets unavailable boy at a party and a decade later they’re engaged. It’s something you’d see in a romantic comedy – a relationship drawn out over time and distance. Before they’d ever met (and before one of them was even born) they traced each other's routes in parallel through schools, cities, and mutual friends. They both wandered from the streets of Odessa, to the boardwalks of Brighton Beach, to the halls of Hunter College before finally intersecting on one fateful night in Queens, on one particular train, headed to the end of the line.

From dinners and musicals in New York, hiking through Israel, kayaking through the tropics, an engagement in London and now an upcoming honeymoon in Japan, we look forward to countless future adventures together.

Our Happily Ever After-Party...

Getting married on another continent didn't work out, so we’re eloping. That said, we love you all and want to celebrate with you, so we would love it if you joined us for a small "Happily Ever After-Party" where a casual 3-course lunch will be served.

FAQ

You got questions? We got answers.

What's happening?!
We're getting married in a private ceremony, but we'd love to celebrate with you guys over lunch!
Is there parking?
Yes and no. The restaurant doesn’t have dedicated parking and finding street side parking around here is rather like winning the lottery, but there are several paid parking garages in the area. The closest one would be LAZ Parking at 70 Greenwich Street.
Will there be food?
Irina is basically a Jewish grandma. Of course there'll be food. A three course lunch (with wine and cocktails) will be served.
I have a deadly allergy, what do I do?
Message Irina and she'll try not to kill you.
Will there be dancing?
Nope. No dancing. No speeches. No fuss. Just an afternoon of good food and better company.
Why not just have a proper wedding?
Because we are antisocial gremlins and we don't want one.
There was a weird code on the bottom of my invite! What does it mean?
No hidden meanings, just a randomly generated code. You'll need that number to access your online invitation and RSVP. If your invite has gone missing, just let us know and we'll tell you your code.
The RSVP code/website doesn’t work!
Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, please try Chrome or another browser. If Chrome still doesn’t work, let us know!
The invite was really fancy. What's the dress code?
The dress code is classy-casual (think a nice dress and maybe a cardigan for the women, and a casual button down for the men). That said, the venue is a little rustic-industrial, but we’re going Art Deco for all the stationery, and Irina is trying to go full Mrs. Maisel while Yury is going to be in a suit. So if you feel like dressing up a bit, feel free to go for a 20’s or 50’s vibe. Because what’s a little anachronism between friends, right? Overall though, I swear we're trying to keep this as low fuss as possible and just got a bit carried away when DIYing things.
Do you have a registry?
The presence of your company is the only gift we could ever ask for. However, for those who have expressed an interest in offering a gift to mark the occasion, the following registries have been set up:
